However, vehicular movement along the road has been restricted from 8 am to 1 pm for maintenance work.
Deputy Commissioner R.K Sharma has appealed everyone to not cross the block portions of the road during working hours as mentioned.
In Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Garima Gupta inspected the flood damaged area and took stock of damaged road, culverts and bridges along Abali, old Abali and Kebang village road here today.
The DC instructed RWD Executive Engineers for early restoration of road communication by repairing all the damaged culvert at 10.03 km point from NH 52 and approach road near Kabang village.
Responding to the public plea, she also inspected the damaged Steel Bridge in between Abali and old Abali road and directed the RWD department to construct a diversion road at the earliest.
Efforts are also on to restore drinking water, electricity supply and restore road connectivity to all villages of the district.

ITANAGAR, Oct 01: DGP Kanwaljit Deol this morning made a courtesy call to Chief Minister Nabam Tuki at his official residence here.
Deol is on transfer from the State and would leave soon. An IPS Officer of 1977 batch from AGMUT Cadre, she took over the charge of DGP of Arunachal Pradesh after Vimla Mehra, who was transferred to New Delhi in May 2010.
Tuki expressed gratitude to the outgoing DGP for the services rendered by her in the top post for more than two years. He said the people, government and especially the Home Department of the state would remember her as a sincere, honest and upright DGP, who led from the front by example.
The Chief Minister wished her success in all her future endeavors.

SEPPA, Oct 01: The body of Palli Rapio, who was serving as head constable in 11th Bn SSB, Didighat, Uttarakhand, was brought to his native village Rerang of East Kameng in a fully decomposed state after 7 days of his death.
Rapio reportedly died following a severe chest pain on September 24.
It is alleged that his body got decomposed beyond recognition due to negligence of the Commandant of the Battalion as his body was left unattended and no medicines applied so that it does not get decomposed.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day

healthy individuals to come forward and donate blood voluntarily to save precious
human lives. He was speaking after formally launching the month long observation
of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day-
Highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation, the Health Commissioner also exhorted the medical fraternity for effective delivery of blood transfusion services to the general public.
Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) Project Director, Dr. Dani Duri, in his keynote address, gave a brief presentation on the blood safety programme run under National AIDS Control Progarmme and sought support from health programmes like NHRM to carry forward blood safety programmes to make safe blood accessible to all.
Dr. D Padung , State Nodal Officer, NHRM gave brief summary of the link between NHRM programme and blood transfusion services .

He elaborately explained on how to plan, implement, operate, maintain and manage water supplies to ensure their sustainability. With the picture and video clip presentation, he explained on different types of low cost sanitary toilets. He elaborately explained on how to construct, cost involvement and their sustainability while stressing the construction of pour flush toilet in elevated house and sought to popularize as SAT (Sanitary Arunachal Toilet).
Dr. T Wangsu, Govt. Hospital, Kanubari spoke on relationship between health, water and sanitation. He briefed different types of water borne diseases and advised the gathering to maintain personal hygiene.

With the completion of the training, the trainees were given FTKs in GP wise (one FTK per GP).

He is officially honoured in India as the father of Nation, his birth day 2nd October is commemorated as Gandhi Jayanti ,a national holiday and World wide as the International day of Non Violence.
The Basic Education according to a pamphlet published by ministry of education, is not only a valuable and integral part of the priceless legacy that Mahatma Gandhi left to the Nation ,but embodies certain educational ideas and principles of greater significance that have been welcomed and endorsed by distinguished and discerning educationist in India and abroad.
The word Basic is derived from the word Base which means the bottom or foundation of a thing upon which the whole things rest or is made.
Gandhji realized fully that the traditional system (system introduced by Macaulay ) is unreal and artificial. He said” I am convinced that the present system of education is not only wasteful but positively harmful. He again feels, the present system of education does not meet the requirement of the country in any shape or form . The defect of system of education introduced by British in India are; It was an urban system of education in a rural country, the curriculam was English dominated. The system was too literary and bookish not in accordance with a needs of a secular democratic country.
The basic education aims at removing the defects .Gandhiji wanted to make education self sufficient , otherwise teeming millions of India could not be educated. Let us know the distinctive merits of basic education.
It is a child centered education .In the words of an eminent educationist, “The basic education regards the child as the educational consumer whose needs must be studied and understood, catered to and fullfiled ,
Learning by doing sums up the educational method of basic education. “Chalk” and “Talk” lesions are not very useful. All educationist have condemned bookish knowledge. In basic system of education the children acquire knowledge of the formal school subject as a by product of purposeful activates.
Gandhiji considered, Craft as the core of the basic education .The process of education should be imparted through some handicraft or industry.
Earn while you learn is another feature of the plan. The idea of self sufficient basic education has a special significance in a country like India .
Basic system of education is directed to the needs of life .It is not pursue an ideal which has no relation with or is totally isolated from the real situation of life.
Free and compulsory education for seven years is one of the distinctive merits of basic education. By free and compulsory education we mean an education for which parents will not have to pay any fee and for which must send their children to school. Gandhiji stressed that proper education can only be imparted through the mother tongue .Foreign tounge as the medium of instruction is unfit for original work. It makes us crammers and imitators .Basic education is for rural as well as urban areas. It is wrong to assume that Basic education is intended to imparted in rural areas only. In fact in one sense there is a greater need of basic education in urban areas, In rural areas the children who participate in the life of the farm or allied occupation of their families have certain types of further education. In performing their jobs the children come into direct contact with the actual life, the experiences they get from the basic further education. On the other hand in large towns and big industrial cities the children miss the opportunities of rich experiences and direct contact with life.
In closing the discussion let us say that the philosophy underlying the concept of basic education evolved by Gandhiji and the essential principles of his scheme are so important that they should guide and shape the educational system of our country at all levels. We believe that the essential elements of the system fundamentally sound and that with necessary modification these can form a part of education not only at primary stage but at stages in our national system.
There is no doubt that an efficient and effective system of education is must for solving most of the social and economic problems which confront us today .During the last 30 years we have made a huge investment in development of education .However many of our educational objectives yet remained unrealized owing to the errors of commission and omission .A sharp break with the existing practices and priorities in education will have to be considered .The break may not necessarily be at one stroke . It can be gradual. .But a break there must be, for, otherwise the educational system will become a drag upon the growth of the country. This break however must be made after thorough experimentation and try out.

ITANAGAR, Oct 01: Opposing the decision to shift the site for construction of Greenfield airport from Karsingsa to Hollongi, the Banderdewa Circle Intellectual Forum (BCIF) in a letter addressed to Papum Pare deputy commissioner demanded cancellation of land acquisition process scheduled to begin from Sept 5 for construction Greenfield Airport at Hollongi. Informing that the people of Karsingsa, Banderdewa and nearby areas have taken the decision against land acquisition process at Hollongi in a public meeting on Sept 29, the Forum threatened to call 48 hours Capital complex bandh on October 4 if its ‘genuine demands’ are not fulfilled. Despite completion of all formalities for construction of Greenfield airport at Karsingsa, both Centre and state Govt had decided to shift the airport site at Hollongi, the Forum resented.

Anjaw district needs special attention from Govt of AP

The unprecedented flash flood has disrupted the road communication from Tezu to Kibithoo, Hayuliang to Chaglagam and Hayuliang to Goiliang leading to complete disruption of the vehicular traffic because of which there is an acute shortage of essential commodities and medicines in the entire district. Lack of buffer stocks of essential commodities has further aggravated the problems of the general public in the entire district.
Due to shortage of food grains all the schools have to be closed which has hampered the student’s academic session badly. The utmost concerned of the citizens of the district is related with the diseases, which may crop up after the flash flood. In recent past also due to shortage of essential medicines at Community Health Centre (CHC), Hayuliang, the villagers of Chilang village had to face lot of problems in getting treatment for dysentery. In spite of all the efforts, one of the valuable lives of the said village could not be saved from it.
Seeing the extent of damaged occurred to the road communication from Tezu to Kibithoo and from Hayuliang to Chaglagam, it is bound to believe that even if the BRO resumes the restoration work on war footing basis also, it may take some weeks to restore the road communication to this land locked district. The delay in restoration work will further aggravate the problems being faced by the government employees and the general public of the district.
So, we would like to appeal the welfare Government of Arunachal Pradesh to take special care and efforts to make available the essential commodities and medicines to the far flung area of Chaglagam, Goiliang, Kibithoo, Walong, Hawai, Manchal and Hayuliang circles by engaging air service.

God must save the peace loving state
Dear Editor,
Through your esteemed daily I would like to share my sadness with the masses. Since several days have passed away on the cowardice and brutal attack on Tongam Rina but till date no culprits have been booked to law. This is a failure of Govt. machineries. But apart from all, I on behalf of all Arunachalee people would like to thank Chief Minister Nabam Tuki for his decision of handing over the case to CBI for impartial enquiries on the attack of Rina. Otherwise, “GOD MUST SAVE THIS PEACE LOVING STATE” where now a day’s even dangerous animals like Tiger is also not safe in the Zoo itself.
